Popular hiplife Musician, Nana Boroo has hinted that he is feverishly preparing towards the launch of his maiden album and clothing line on his birthday on July 18 – a birthday bash, an album and clothing line launch all on the same day.
Nana Boroo who shot into fame with his smash hit single Aha Ye De disclosed to Hitz Entertainment News that the album which also carries the name of his clothing line Young Age is aimed at reaching out to the youth who love fashion and enjoy his music.
“Young Age - I want to reach out to the young age as the name goes, the vibrant ones (the youth), get my clothing line and actually enjoy my album as well.”
The album, Young Age, he said, has 12 songs including his recent single Baabiaa Soso and the remix and jazz versions of Aha Ye De.
The clothing line he explained is his unique dressing and fashion that he is going to produce commercially for his fans.
“It is my own kind of style…it is going to be Nana Boroo’s style and I am introducing a lot of new designs… Mostly everything that I wear has a taste of me.”
Nana Boroo who already owns a boutique said he will be selling and distributing the clothes nationwide.
Not new to criticisms, he acknowledged the importance of critics especially those who keep criticizing him that he is a one-song hit maker and will fade away quickly. He was however quick to say most of them are ignorant because his dream and aim in life is bigger than the music he does.
“Critics are very important… but I don’t see my self that way, I see myself much bigger than the song. Am building Nana Boroo as a brand not as a song, I'm beyond that. When I hear people say that sometimes I say maybe they are the ignorant ones."
Surprisingly Nana Boroo is also into movies, featuring in movies such as The Game, Seduction and new television series Afia Schwarzenegger. He hopes to star in an action movie, his favourite.
He recently embarked on couple of tours in the United States and UK. He was on that tour with Mzbel, A.B. Crentsil and popular actor Agya Koo.
