The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has joined hundreds of mourners to lay to rest a comrade, a former Ho Central Constituency Propaganda Secretary, Richard Muntari Issa Kafaba in his home community of Ziavi-Lume in the Volta Region.
Until his demise, he was as the Chairman of the Sokode Lokoe Women's training branch of the NDC.
Mr. Kafaba who is survived by eight children and one grandchild also performed various vital roles at the branch, constituency, and regional levels of the NDC. He was a farmer by profession.

“Muntari was more than just a leader; he was a voice for the voiceless, a champion for justice, and a tireless advocate for change. His passion for the NDC was evident in every campaign he undertook, every message he communicated, and every heart he touched. He understood the power of words and used them to inspire and mobilize, bringing people together for a common cause.
“Beyond his political work, Muntari was a friend to many-a compassionate listener and a source of encouragement. His genuine concern for the well-being of others left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He believed in the strength of community and worked diligently to ensure that everyone felt included and empowered”, stated the NDC in a tribute.
The NDC implored the rank and file of the party to work rigorously to secure victory in the 2024 general elections to honour the memory of the late Mr. Kafaba.

“As we celebrate his life, let us honour his memory by continuing his legacy of service, dedication, and unity. Let us carry forward the ideals he stood for and the love he shared. Comrade Muntari has longed for the return of the party to govern this nation, we want to assure everyone seated here that we will win the general elections come 7th of December 2024”, it stated.
His children eulogised him as a loving father with a big heart who has shaped them for the adversities of life.

“You were so much more than just our father. You were our guide, our protector, our rock. You instilled so many values in us - hard work, resilience, kindness, and love. And now, more than ever, we appreciate every lesson you taught us”, they said.
Ziavi traditional authorities described him as a man of integrity, foresight, and nation-building as he orchestrated and led the execution of various development projects.
