The National Democratic Congress is inviting party members interested in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat to pick up nomination forms to contest in the upcoming by-elections.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat became vacant following the demise of Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko who was the legislator for the constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.
He had been Member of Parliament since 2012.
The NDC, in a statement signed by its General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, says the executives of the party in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency have been notified to open nominations for the “Parliamentary primaries in accordance to Article 41 of the NDC Constitution”.
Prospective candidates interested in the seat must pick up the forms at the cost of GHC1,000 today December 17 and 18 and file the forms by Friday, December 21, 2018.
“The cost of the nomination forms and filing fees as provided for in Section D subsection 2 and 3 of the Guidelines for the Parliamentary primaries is GHC1,000 (One thousand Ghana Cedis) and GHC10,000 (Ten Thousand Ghana CediS) respectively, with a 50% discount of Filing fees for females and persons with Disability,” the statement indicates.
