The CEO of NDK Financial Services is accusing former Ghana Bar Association president, Mr. Nutifafa Kuenyehia of fraud and indebtedness.
According to Mr. Oko Nikoi Dzani, Kuenyehia has failed to pay a GH¢450,000 loan he contracted from the company some five years.
Worst still, he alleges the ex-GBA president presented documents of a property as guarantee for part payment of the loan, when he had sold the property to a third party already.
Mr. Nikoi Dzani told Joy FM that there are two aspects of the case; one which deals with the debt and from which he is not running away except employing the legal system to buy time.
He said the other side of the story is the fraud case. In this instance, according to Nikoi Dzani, a property Mr. Kuenyehia provided as security and for which he submitted certified copies of deeds in lieu of the originals (because he claimed they were lost) turned out to be a property he (Kuenyehia) had sold.
He said when the company attempted to sell off the property after obtaining court judgement, a third party surfaced with the original documents claiming to have legally bought the property from the GBA boss.
“We went to court with the person, the person was able to prove that indeed he had the original documents and that the man sold the property to him after he came to us to lie that the original documents were lost." The court, according to Mr Dzani, ruled in favour of the third party saying, they (NDK) have been defrauded.
“450,000 now is what we agreed with the court that he should pay us. He has not paid one cedi,” he lamented.
Oko Nikoi Dzani said he has since reported the conduct of Mr. Kuenyehia to the General Legal Council of the Ghana Bar Association.
The former GBA president has however denied the allegations and told Joy News he is ready to provide documents to prove his case.
