Brazil forward Neymar was taken to hospital after being carried off on a stretcher in the 2-1 World Cup quarter-final win over Colombia.
The 22-year-old appeared to hurt his back when he was fouled by Juan Zuniga in the 88th minute in Fortaleza.
Neymar, who sustained thigh and knee injuries in the second-round win over Chile, was in tears as he was taken from the pitch.
Brazil meet Germany in Tuesday's semi-final in Belo Horizonte.
