The National Investment Bank (NIB) last week joined scores of nationals, local and internationals to commiserate with Asanteman and the Asantehene Otumfou Osei Tutu II as they organized the final funeral rites of the late Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, the Asantehamaa.
A donation of Fifty-Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS50,000.00) and assorted drinks was made to support the performance of the final rites.
A Board Member Mr. Dennis Adjei Dwomoh and the Managing Director Dr. John Kwaku Asamoah led a delegation to Manhyia, the seat of the Ashanti Kingdom to make the donation.
Dr. Asamoah noted that, the Bible admonishes us to “mourn with those who mourn and considering the immense support the Bank has, and continues to enjoy in the region, it is imperative that we come over with this token, as a follow up to our earlier visit during the burial of the late queen mother.”
Dr. Asamoah added that “NIB has relished some substantial growth in the region which has culminated in the expansion of our branch network to eight (8) over the period."
"This, for us is remarkable and we are poised to grow even further as it will enable us bring quality banking services closer to the people of Ashanti and beyond.”
Sustained growth of NIB in the region according to Dr. Asamoah would afford it the opportunity to extend a lot more assistance towards the development of the community, as well as its people.
