The Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the National Sports Council (NSC) in collaboration with the Ashanti Regional Police Command have arrested nine football fans, who went on rampage soon after Kotoko had trounced Real Tamale United (RTU) 3-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Monday.
They were alleged to have ripped off and destroyed about three plastic chairs at the Amakom stand of the Stadium.
Mr K. Cephas, Administrator at the Stadium, who confirmed the incident to the GNA Sports in Kumasi, said the Police were still investigating the case.
He could not give the cost of the damaged caused.
The suspects included Ceasar Abass, Iddrisu and Mohammed, all residents of Yelwa in Kumasi.
