The New Patriotic Party and their Parliamentarians will not be attending the swearing-in ceremony of President John Dramani as the fourth President of the fourth Republic.
Myjoyonline.com has learnt, the leadership of the NPP will not be part of the ceremony, which will take place at the Independence in Accra on Monday 7 January, 2013.
The NPP on Friday December 28, 2012, petitioned the Supreme Court challenging the outcome of the Presidential elections, which it claimed were rigged for the President.
In a related development, Myjoyonline.com understands the Minority in Parliament has selected Dominic Nitiwul, Member for Bimbilla, as Deputy Minority Leader. He replaces Mr. Ambrose Dery, who lost the Nandom seat to the NDC.
Meanwhile, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Member for Suame, has been maintained as Minority Leader.
