The secretariat has signed a 5-year partnership agreement with the Association of Certified Accountants Ghana at its Headquarters in Accra.
The Executive Secretary of the NSS Dr. Dr. Michael Whyte Kpesah signed for the secretariat while Mr Norman Williams initialed for ACCA Ghana.
The personnel will attend two-months intensive training starting from July to September .
The NSS intiative is in response to feedback from employers suggesting that graduates have poor work ethics and low skills. Absenteeism and poor financial decision-making are also problems identified.
Speaking after the signing of the agreement Dr. Kpesah Whyte said he has noticed that graduates though brilliant, struggle to apply what they learn in the classroom in the world of work.
Head of Portfolio in charge of East and West Africa ACCA said he believes the initiative will go a long way to help youth development in Ghana.
