Milan and Chelsea have confirmed that Michael Essien has completed his transfer to the Rossoneri.
After undergoing medical tests over the weekend, the Ghanaian arrived at Milanello this morning to sign off on reported 18-month contract.
Chelsea have now made official the news of his departure in posting a lengthy farewell message on their official website, whilst Milan have posted a welcome message through their official Twitter account with the above image included.
The Diavolo have also confirmed on their website that the 31-year-old will be presented to the Italian media tomorrow afternoon.
Essien’s deal with the Rossoneri reportedly is until June 30 2015 and worth €1.25m for the current campaign and €2.5m next season, plus a €500,000 bonus for Champions League qualification.
