Midfielder Ashittey Ollenu Haderu has extended his contract with Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited.
The prodigy, in the company of his father, other close relations, and his agent agreed a 2-year contract extension starting from next season. Accompanied by his father Hakim Nii Amaa Ollenu, uncles Nii Amaa Ollenu Junior and Odiko Ollenu, cousin Gilbert Ashittey Ollenu, and manager Mike Annang, the precocious star penned the 2-year deal with Accra Hearts of Oak at the club's Secretariat this afternoon.
Ollenu, who joined the Club on 17th September,2011, broke into the first team in the latter part of the 2011/12 season having spent a few months in the junior team.
He was handed his league debut by C.K Akonnor against Wassaman United, and it was a dream debut for the youngster who won a penalty for Osei Bonsu to convert to make the scoreline 3-0.
Ollenu continued his good form by winning a penalty, converted by Bonsu in the first six minutes of the game, and scoring his first goal for Accra Hearts of Oak in a 4-1 win over Elmina Sharks in the FA Cup in only his second appearance, and first full start.
The youngster got his first league goal in a 4-0 win over Berekum Arsenals on the final day of the 2011/12 season.
However, the gifted dribbler scored only twice and provided seven assists in the 2012/13 season in all competitions, netting back-to-back against Liberty Professionals and Amidaus Professionals in the match-day 8 and 9 respectively.
The 19-year old is yet to score in the new season, but he was brought down in the penalty box for Robin Gnagne to score Hearts of Oak's second in the 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals.
Hearts of Oak is happy to renew its contract with Ashittey Ollenu, and are looking to the youngster's continued progression and development over the coming years.
