Relegation threatened Great Olympics have severed ties with coach Dauda Luttrodt, with four matches to end the 2009/10 Glo premier league season.
Olympics just returned from division but occupy second from bottom and look almost certain to return to the doldrums of Ghana football.
The decision to sack the coach was taken on Monday by the board, and comes just a day after a disappointing 0-1 defeat to Berekum Arsenals at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
His assistant, Nana Andy has been tasked to take charge, at least until a substantive coach is appointed.
However, the Chief Executive Officer of the club, George Afriyie has questioned the board’s decision to sack the coach.
In an interview with Joy Sports, Mr Afriyie wondered how “any coach will do wonders” for the club with just four games away.
He would rather the coach is maintained at least for the games left.
Mr. Afriyie accused the board of yielding to protests by the fans to sack the coach, saying he will not be surprised if he is also sacked.
