Reports reaching Joy News indicate that one person has died in an accident on the George Walker Bush (N1) Highway, Thursday night.
One other person – a pedestrian - has also sustained serious injuries.
Joy News’ Mendelson Enyan Mensah who witnessed the accident said a Peugeot saloon car veered off the Honkong section of the N1 and hit a 4×4 vehicle.
The 4×4 vehicle then run into the two pedestrians killing one and injuring the other.
The police have been at the scene and have conveyed the body of the deceased to the hospital.
Since its construction, the N1 highway has accounted for many deaths. In June this year, four people died on the highway when a tipper truck collided with a commercial vehicle.
