An entrepreneur and former host of the Joy FM's Super morning show Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is calling for a new profound partnership between African and European entrepreneurs that will harness the true potential and opportunities on the African continent as well as on the global market.
He said the lopsided trade relationship in which Africa exported raw materials for use by the European countries was long gone and there was the need for more strategic trade relationship, "a new partnership between European capital and African brains."
The young entrepreneur was the Guest Speaker at the Youth Entrepreneurship Conference held in Greece, Athens.
The conference was to, among other things, create solidarity among the youth entrepreneurs around the world and for the realisation of economic and fiscal growth among the EU and the eurozone member states.
It was also to ensure entrepreneurs all around the world would be able to work together and collaborate with other stakeholders in the direction of overcoming the fragmentation and barriers across the world.
Being one of Africa's representatives at the conference, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah championed the necessity for a new paradigm, "a true partnership in which people of similar interest, industries and values work together to build operational centers and businesses in key African Markets to first serve the fast growing opportunities in Africa and subsequently other global markets."
"African Governments, African Entrepreneurs and European Entrepreneurs need to do a lot to make this partnership a reality and a mutually beneficial one at that," he maintained.
The acclaimed broadcaster whose entrepreneurial drive started in his days at the University of Cape Coast with the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) noted "Africa is ready for business. And if we work together we can build a framework that delivers value to our respective continents through entrepreneurship."
