Parliament further described Mr Mahama as a lawmaker who embodied the ideals of service and philanthropy, adding that his impact within the House and beyond would not be forgotten.
Extending condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues in Parliament, constituents and all those affected by his death, Parliament assured them of its prayers and support during this difficult period, praying that “the Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest and gives his loved ones the strength to bear this great loss”.
The House also appealed to the media and the general public to respect the privacy of the family and avoid sensationalism as they mourn the late legislator.
