Sylvester Adinam Mensah, a flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised delegates that under his leadership, resources for party work, especially for elections, shall be channeled through party structures and not individuals who don't belong to the party.
"Never again are we going to channel resources through individuals who are not members of our party. All resources shall be channeled through the party, under my leadership," he stated.

Mr. Mensah made these statements in a meeting with branch and constituency executives of Afadjato South in Golo Kuati, Thursday, November 29.
In his welcome address, the vice chairman of the constituency acknowledged the support Mr. Mensah gave to the Afadjato South constituency and all constituencies in the Volta Region during the party's reorganisation and re-registration exercise. It would be recalled that Mr Mensah toured the Region and met with all executives of the constituencies during that period.
The Prof Kwesi Botchwey Committee commissioned to investigate why the NDC lost the 2016 elections to the New Patriotic Party, reportedly captured in its findings among others, that campaign resources were channeled to wrong persons, which generated anger and apathy among executives at all levels.

Party executives who sacrificed for the party daily, felt relegated and unrecognised and therefore, decided to observe the voting from afar. Mr. Mensah has assured delegates that given the opportunity, he would do things differently.
Touched by the message, delegates vowed to vote for Mr. Mensah so he could have the opportunity to restore respect for party members by implementing such ways of working.
