An acute water shortage is reported to have hit the Tamale Government hospital forcing doctors there to turn patients away.
The situation is reported to have persisted for months.
The CEO of the hospital Dr. Ken Sago told Joy News the situation is difficult.
He said the cause of the water shortage is unknown but maintained it is greatly hampering the operations of the facility.
Dr Sago said the hospital authorities were doing all they could to normalize the situation.
