Activist, Gloria Boatemaa Andoh has toured some schools in Utah in the United States as a facilitator for suicide prevention instructors training. The ‘Hope Squad Advisor Certification on Suicide Prevention and QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructors Training’ was given to schools in Utah with hope squads. These squads serve as the eyes and ears of some schools in the US. They are comprised of students who are trained to watch for at-risk students–provide friendship, identify warning signs, and seek help from adults.  These pieces of training were given to the Hope Squads to equip them with the know-how and what to do when faced with at-risk or suicidal students.
