Many viewers of the Big Brother Africa (The Chase) reality show may have noticed the simmering love between Ghanaian representative, Elikem, and evicted Zimbabwean representative, Pokello.
While Pokello after her eviction from the reality show has declared her undying love for the Ghanaian fashion designer, (she has been mobilising votes for him), there are suspicions that the Zimbabwean beauty many not be “serious” about the Ghanaian.
Africa has come to accept the new name Polikem (Pokello and Elikem) and while many are yearning to see what becomes of Elikem and Pokello's relationship after the show, unconfirmed reports indicate that Pokello only follows the wind; she doesn't get involved in a any committed relationship.
Myjoyonline.com investigations in South Africa indicate that Pokello may not be one’s ‘regular love’ considering the fact that she was not loved by her fellow housemates during her stint in the reality show. Her credibility is further damaged by reports that she dumped her long-time boyfriend, Zimbabwean rapper Desmond “Stunner” Chideme just after her eviction from the show.
The breakup, according to reports local reports in Zimbabwe, shocked many considering how strong that relationship was.
There are allegations that the bubbly Zimbabwean is only hoping that the Ghanaian designer wins the US$300,000 up for grabs come Sunday, August 25, when this year’s Big Brother Africa (The Chase) comes to a climax.
Reports indicate that Pokello is of the belief that Elikem will win the money this year, something that can only cement their relationship considering the fact that Elikem is 24 and she is 27.
Some critics of the Big Brother Africa reality show are wondering if Elikem will be able to match the expensive lifestyle of the Zimbabwean hottie who is a mother of one.
Pokello leaves in a world of her own, some have said and that, she is known to love fashion and expensive things. Is Elikem, the simple tailor, ready for a high class lady? Or will love prevail?
Well many are waiting to see what happens after Sunday, considering the fact that Elikem has made history by being the first Ghanaian to reach the 91-day reality show’s finale after eight seasons.
The eighth season of the Big Brother Africa reality show, powered by M-Net and Endemol, comes to a close Sunday and it is a heated competition between Elikem, Melvin, Dillish, Cleo, and Beverly.
Voting for Elikem is simple. Just text his name to 1474 on all networks in Ghana or by voting vie the Big Brother Africa website (bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com).
