The South African Police Service have revealed descriptions on the men responsible for the killing of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa.
The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was gunned down in the Vosloorus house of his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, last night.
The SAPS has upped their reward for information that leads to an arrest to R250 000, and has also appealed to the perpetrators to hand themselves over to their nearest police station.
“2 of the #SenzoMeyiwa suspects are believed to be in late 20's/early 30's, 1 is tall, slender & the other, short & well built.
“There were 7 people inside the house when #SenzoMeyiwa was shot, all regarded as witnesses including Ms. Kelly Khumalo who is assisting.
“The cellphone taken during the alleged house robbery, did not belong to #SenzoMeyiwa; it was being charged on the premises.”
Police have also now revealed that, contrary to earlier reports, Meyiwa was walking towards the door when he was shot in the back.
