The police at Sogakope in the Volta Region are looking for three students of the Comboni Vocational Technical School at Sogakope, who allegedly gang-raped a 16-year-old girl of the same school.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency at Ho on Monday on the issue, Mr Joy Afagbedzi, Volta Regional Police Public Relations Officer, said the students named only as Rueben, Justice and George, on March 7, this year, invited the girl to accompany them to the town.
He said the victim told the Police that the suspects gave her an alcoholic beverage to drink after which she felt drowsy.
Mr Afagbedzi said the girl explained that when she regained consciousness, Rueben was having sex with her while the two others held her hands and gagged her.
He said the others took turns to rape her after which they fled.
Mr Afagbedzi said the victim reported the incident to her housemistress before a complaint was lodged with the Police.
He said the authorities of the school were not co-operating with the Police to apprehend the suspects but assured the police were doing everything possible to arrest the suspects.
