The Ghana Police Service says it has picked up intelligence that some unidentified persons are gathering weapons in a bid to cause disturbances at Thursday’s hearing of the ongoing trial of the murder of the overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Yakubu Andani.
Police Public Relations Director Superintendent Kwesi Fori in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Adom Dwaso Nsem said intelligence reports they have received suggest that some persons are arming themselves to storm the courts Thursday morning.
The Police Service has served notice it will not hesitate to arrest persons who may want to foment trouble at the courts. The Police PRO boss said adequate security measures have been installed and warned that any attempt to invade the court premises will be met with the required force from the police.
