This year’s population and housing census will officially take off on the 26th of September.
The exercise which is being conducted by the Ghana Statistical Service will last for two weeks.
About GH¢64 million will be spent on the project.
Finance and Economic Planning Minister, Dr Kwabena Duffuor told a news conference in Accra that so far government has only provided GH¢ 32 million of the entire budget with the rest to be funded by donor support.
He noted that the 2010 census has been set as a national priority.
The Minister also urged all stakeholders to work hard to ensure that the project becomes a success.
