President John Evans Atta Mills would begin a tour of four regions next week to inspect government projects and assess the performance of the Executive.
The first leg of the 10-day tour, which begins next Tuesday, are Upper East and Upper West Regions, Northern and Brong Ahafo Regions.
Mr Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the Office of the President told journalists that President Mills would conduct a check and “mark your register” on government functionaries in terms of the implementation and progress of infrastructure development projects.
He said President Mills was committed to accountability in governance, and would use the trip to ensure that the taxpayer’s money was judiciously used and Ghanaians had value for money.
President Mills would also inspect agricultural projects during the trip.
