President John Mahama will be one of the dignitaries at the 60th anniversary celebrations of St John's Grammar Senior High School on May 17 this year.
Other dignitaries will include Prof. Otoo Ellis, Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) and Baffour Asare Owusu Amankwatia V, Bantamahene -- both old students of St John's Grammar.
The event which will take place at the school premises is on the theme "60 Years of Hardwork: a Platform for Greater Heights".
Prof Otoo Ellis will be the Guest Speaker while Nana Baffour Asare Owusu will chair the event.
The 60th anniversary celebrations will also be marked with activities such as inter house debates, public lecture among others.
Below is the full list of the programme of activities for the celebration:
1. Inter House Debate (Thursday, 10th April, 2014, at the School's Assembly Hall. Time: 11:00am)
2. Public Lecture (Thursday, 1st May, 2014, at Auditorium of Royal House Chapel. Time: 4:00pm)
3. Home Coming (Friday, 2nd May, 2014, at the School Premises. Time: 4:00pm)
4. Blood Donation (Thursday, 8th May, 2014, at the School Premises. Time: 9:00am)
5. Career Guidance (Friday, 9th May, 2014, at Durbar Grounds (School Premises. Time: 10:00am)
6. Clean-up Exercise (Thursday 15th May, 2014, at the School Premises. Time: 9:00am)
7. Candle light procession, Bonfire with fireworks (Friday, 16th May, 2014, at the School Premises. Time: 5:00pm to 9:00pm)
8. Durbar Day (Saturday 17th May, 2014, at the School Premises. Time: 8:00am)
9. Thanksgiving Service (Sunday 18th May, 2014, at the School Premises. Time: 9:00am)
The Board of Governors, Headmaster, Staff, PTA, Old Students and Students of St. John’s Grammar Senior High School are cordially inviting the general public to the august event.
