Manchester United will have to make a big move if they are to land Angel Di Maria this summer, after Paris Saint-Germain reportedly re-entered the race for the Real Madrid winger.
The French champions last week ruled themselves out of contention, insisting Di Maria was too expensive to sign this summer, having already splashed out £50m on David Luiz.
But according to the Mirror, PSG have overtaken United in the pursuit of the Argentine once again, having come up with a loan arrangement which will give them the option to buy Di Maria next summer.
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti yesterday admitted he was unsure where Di Maria’s future was, amid mounting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
But despite Man United boss Louis van Gaal telling chief executive Ed Woodward to do whatever it takes to bring the international to Old Trafford, it seems they could be pipped by PSG if they don’t step up their pursuit soon.
