"I occasionally feel frightened even though there are some authorities that are responsible for preventing this from happening," said a telecoms user in Ghana.
Bulk messaging has made client and business communication simpler and quicker. Instead of needing to spend a few Ghana Cedis calling each client to deliver the identical message, it is now possible to do so with the click of a button. I have subscribed to a few great companies.
The 'tares among the wheat' – what about them?
Should they be permitted to grow alongside the wheat so that when harvest time comes, they can be separated and burned as prescribed in the Good Book of the Holy Bible? There might be some exceptions to some rules.
I value innovation and wish everyone well, but occasionally I find myself raising an eyebrow when "not-so-good" things start to become the standard. Many people can attest to the reality of the situation I will be describing in the next few paragraphs, of that I am very certain.
As said earlier, I respect authorities and I respect change. I saw material about your mandate online that makes it plain to the public what you are to be recognized for, but may I ask, is that truly the case?
A Ghanaian proverb says “The ruin of a nation begins in the homes of its people”. NCA, please permit me to ask a few questions with the hope of getting a response from them.
1. How do people or organizations who we haven't signed up with manage to obtain our contact information and go so far as to message us?
2. Do a certain number of the free advertisements these businesses run go to your institution?
3. What additional option, other blocking the contacts of "unexpected senders," should we take?
Here, I'll put a stop to the queries and go on to the next institution.
Are you aware, National Lottery Authority (NLA), of some "so-called" representatives who assert to be affiliated with your organization and promise to divulge winning numbers in exchange for payment?
I'm one of the tens of thousands of individuals that receive messages from these individuals guaranteeing specific numbers once interested parties register for GH₵200 or GH₵700, depending on how regularly they want to receive the numbers.
Please move quickly to correct the situation if numerous people were taken advantage of by the act.
