The Eastern Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sent well-wishing messages to Gifty Twum Ampofo, the new Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa-North.
The message also urged her to renew the confidence of the constituents.
Gifty Ampofo, who left her teaching career for politics was inducted by the Speaker of Parliament, Doe Adjaho, Tuesday, May17 before parliament commenced its business for the day.
She was elected MP for the Abuakwa North constituency in a by-election following the death of the incumbent MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, who was killed in his house in February.
A statement signed by the party's regional communications director, David Prah also called on the Attorney General to expedite action on the prosecution of the suspect involved in the killing of J.B Dankwa Adu.

CONGRATULATIONS: GIFTY TWUM AMPOFO ON YOUR SWEARING IN AS MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR ABUAKWA NORTH CONSTITUENCY.
The Eastern Regional Branch of the New Patriotic Party wishes to congratulate Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo, popularly known as Hajia Kande, on having been sworn in today as the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency.
We also take this opportunity to congratulate the people of Abuakwa North for reaffirming their belief in the NPP and voting for Mrs. Twum-Ampofo.
It is our belief that the Hon Twum-Ampofo will provide a renewed confidence in the people and will continue with the massive development-oriented representation that her predecessor offered.
We take this opportunity to call on the Attorney General to expedite action on the prosecution of the key suspects and others connected to the gruesome murder of our beloved Former Member of Parliament Hon. J. B. Dankwa Adu so as to bring justice to his family, the good people of Abuakwa North, the entire Eastern Region, and Ghana.
We wish Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North well.
