Deputy Upper West regional minster, kale Caesar has admonished the communication group of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to respond to what he terms as lies by the opposition New Patriotic Party.
Those lies he stated can be countered with the achievements of the government in the last three years and not through insults.
Inaugurating a 25 member communication committee of the party in Wa, Mr. Kale said the NPP has nothing to show as its achievement, the reason why they are resorting to lies, fabrications and insults.
He wondered why the price of kenkey at an original price of five pesewas would be made an issue.
He advised the communication group to be obedient, disciplined, resolute, and say nothing short of the truth and should refrain from insults.
Mr. Kale said all the needed logistics and resources would be made available to them to enable them function as a communication group.
Describing the inauguration of the communication group as land mark in the history of the NDC in the region, Mr Kale said within the last three years the NDC government has touched every facet of development in the region and wondered how the opposition NPP can manage their campaign message in the impending elections.
He said in the educational sector alone in the region can now boast of massive infrastructural development of over three hundred projects with three new Senior High Schools and refurbishment to existing ones.
Touching on health, Mr Kale Caesar said three Health Assistant Training Schools have been built within the last three years and added that three more polyclinics will soon be operational in the region. CHP compounds, he noted abound everywhere in the region with each district having its fair share of the facility.
The road networks in the region are also being fixed. He mentioned the Nadowli-Hamile road, the Gyang-Hain road and the Tumu-Navrongo highway as some of the key road networks being tackled by the government. He said the Walewale bridges are under serious construction and the Wa municipal area is being given municipal water expansion as over five hundred boreholes have been drilled across the region. He added that over five thousand people have been enrolled into the National Youth Employment Program (NYEP) under different modules.
The group leader, Yahya Yakubu said the group will live up to expectation as they are poised for action.
He said the current president has exhibited real leadership qualities as can be evidenced within the three years of the NDC government that is why unlike former president Kufuor, president Mills has never asked for more time for his tenure.
