The West African Nobles Forum (WANF) at its 34th Annual Congress and Awards ceremony in Accra awarded the West Africa Country Manager of RIFE International, Kwaku Osei-Sarpong for his achievements and contribution to Ghana’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Sector.

The West African Nobles Forum is a non-governmental, non-religious and non-political organisation that seeks to pull together and award prominent West Africans who have performed nobly in their chosen area of endeavors through annual awards ceremony.

The event which was held at the Holiday Inn hotel in Accra was attended by a group of eminent West Africans made up of public officials, legal luminaries, politicians, technocrats, as well as captains of industries who have upheld the virtues of integrity, honesty and accountability.

Aside from Mr. Kwaku Osei-Sarpong, other distinguished awardees this year included Kwasi Agyemang Busia-CEO of DVLA, Isaac Kofi Egyir- Director General of Ghana Prisons, Mrs. Adeladie Araba Siaw Agyepong – Founder of America International School, Daniel Acheampong Managing Director- VALCO, Rashida Saani Nasamu -Chief Executive of I-ZAR Group, Robert Wugah-Managing Director of Imperial General Assurance, to mention a few.

Through promoting socio-economic integration in the West African sub-region, the forum over the years has recognized leaders in various business sectors in Africa.

These include CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA)- Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC)- Reginald Yofi Grant, Former Minister for Works and Housing – Samuel Atta Akyea, Former President of Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI)- Nana Dr. Appiagyei Dankawoso I, Madam Joyce Aryee, Mr Kwame Ofosu Bamfo of Sickens, Theresa Oppong-Beeko of Manet Group, Prof Goski Alabi among others.

As the Country Manager – West Africa for RIFE International, Mr. Kwaku Osei-Sarpong, is spearheading the drive for clean energy in West Africa, with a focus on climate change mitigation, climate and clean energy finance, and sustainable infrastructure, whiles providing solar energy solutions Small and Medium Scale Enterprises(SMEs), as well as Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Clients.

In an exclusive interview granted to GBC news, he expressed gratitude to the forum for this initiative and reiterated the company’s position of providing sustainable and affordable energy to businesses in Ghana and West Africa.

“We are coming up with innovative financing schemes that allow SMEs, Commercial and Industry entities to utilize renewable and energy efficiency alternatives that are affordable, sustainable and environmentally friendly”, Kwaku Osei-Sarpong said.

RIFE International is an energy-efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable development company headquartered in the Washington DC Metro Area, United States. Kwaku leads the company’s international operations with responsibility for its business in West Africa.

He also oversees and supports the company’s ongoing expansion efforts into other emerging markets in Africa.

Kwaku has been very active in Ghana and other African countries in the renewable energy, energy efficiency, and e-mobility space, creating and leading opportunities ranging from job creation to assisting organizations in reducing energy consumption and costs, providing avenues for decarbonized electricity, and ultimately reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

He has led and played critical roles in the development, finance, implementation, and management of several impactful projects and initiatives in Ghana, parts of Africa and the United States.

He also has an extensive experience in climate and clean energy financing, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Impact investing, impact fund management, as well as Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

Kwaku Osei-Sarpong, has built a strong market for the company’s overseas business operations in Ghana, West Africa, and other emerging markets, where he has led notable clean energy business cases, grooming the company’s position into a brand that strategically provides sustainable energy services for public entities, private sector – commercial and industrial (C&I), and non-profits.
