Jammin Java Corp., makers of the world's famous Marley Coffee, chaired by Rohan Marley, son of Reggae legend Bob Marley; has Friday announced the appointment of Ghanaian reggae sensation Rocky Dawuni to its Board of Advisors.
Since the Release of his critically acclaimed album, Hymns for the Rebel Soul, Dawuni's global profile has gone up significantly as he has been nominated for the prestigious NAACP Image Awards and performing alongside Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz and Peter Gabriel.
Rocky Dawuni was also the first Reggae icon to be featured in our interview series "Five Questions For".
"We are extremely happy to bring on board someone with Rocky's reputation in music and humanitarian causes," said Rohan Marley, Chairman of Jammin Java Corp.
"His ability to communicate on issues of vital importance, including concerns about the environment and antipoverty, fits right in with the spirit and philosophy that drives our Company.
"Now that he is a member of our Board of Advisors, we are confident he will help us to build awareness, and sales of the Jammin Java brand as we move ahead," Rohan said
He added that Rocky Dawuni, like Marley Coffee, always strives to support communities and the environment through organic, sustainable and ethical practices.
