A Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Safo Kantaka, on Tuesday paid a farewell visit to President John Mahama to announce to him his retirement from the Commission.
President Mahama thanked him, on behalf of the people of Ghana, for his sterling service to the nation.
"When the history of Ghana is written, it'll reflect you, Kanga and Afari Gyan in a pride of place", the president said.
Mr. Kantanka thanked the President for the support, noting that the Electoral Commission has laid a solid foundation that can only be built suspended.
