Sapholda Ventures Limited, one of the most efficient and experienced freight forwarding companies in Tema, have been crowned champions of the 2019 Joy Sports Invitational tournament.
Sapholda dethroned last year’s winners Nestle Ghana after winning two of seven competitions which took place at the Burma Camp Sports Complex.
They won the football competition and the Ladies penalty shootout.
In the football, Sapholda defeated Nestle Ghana in the final courtesy a lone goal scored by Bernard Adjetey Adjei. The title is their second in three years.
“We are very excited. Remember we told you this cup was ours,” Adjei said.
“Next year we will come back stronger and hopefully we will emerge champions again.”
Mr. Chadi Haidar of Solitcom Limited, producers of Doliat Yoghurt, claimed the bragging rights as he won the CEOs mini goal post.
Nestle Ghana for the second year running won the Team Spirit award.
GOIL emerged champions of the Table Tennis, beating Nestle Ghana in an intense final.
GHACEM won Basketball competition while Volleyball was won by MTN.
Multimedia claimed Arm wrestling competition thanks to Lexis Bill, host of Drive Time on Joy 99.7 FM.
The most credible and reliable corporate games in Ghana, the Joy Sports Invitational has seen increased participation in the last 12 years.
CEOs and staff swooped on to the Burma Camp Sports Complex from as early as 7 am. There were several games to contest including Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Arm Wrestling and the CEOs mini goal post.
