Hans Sarpei finally got a reprieve from his Schalke 04 hell after he made Felix Magath's side for their defeat at Borrusia Monchengladbach on Sunday.
The Ghanaian utility defender was banished to the junior side of the Bundesliga side at the beginning of December and forced to train with the juniors as Magath rung the changes following a series of poor results.
The Ghanaian had been consistently overlooked since then but appeared as a half time substitute for Schalke goal scorer Peer Kluge.
He will now be hoping it will mark the resurrection of his Schalke career.
