The country's security chiefs are scheduled to address a news conference Thursday morning on the recent spate of killings in the society.
The press conference will outline measures being taken to deal with what has become known as contract killings.
The killings were discussed a meeting of the security chiefs on Tuesday, following the murder of a retired civil servant, Nii Kwartei Quartey, at Community 9, Tema.
The killings, mainly carried out with great impunity and in broad day-light, have alarmed many Ghanaians, including MPs who told Joy News that they have been hit by a sudden sense of insecurity.
