Manchester City beat Hull 3-1 to end a run of four Premier League games without a win and boost their chances of a top-four finish.
Pep Guardiola’s side took plenty of shots but need an own goal to open the scoring. Ahmed Elmohamady was the man to oblige when he diverted Jesus Navas’ cross into his own net as he tried to put the ball behind for a corner.
Hull had looked dangerous on the break but Sergio Aguero added a second shortly after half-time, scoring from close range after fantastic work from Raheem Sterling in the build-up, and from there it was plain sailing.
Fabian Delph added a third from the edge of the box, again set up by Sterling, before Andrea Ranocchia bagged the visitors a late consolation as his tame effort found its way past the recalled Claudio Bravo in the Man City goal.
