Silver Star Auto Limited (SSAL) has launched a range of rebranded Mercedes-Benz SUVs at the Silver Star Tower, Airport city in Accra, at the weekend.
Six new models including the all new GLA, GLC, GLE, GLE Coupe, GLS, and the legendary off-roader, the G-Wagon were outdoored at a carnival attended by high profile guests.
Briefing the press after the auto-carnival, Chief Executive Officer of SSAL, Mr. Nouhad Kalmoni, said the all new Mercedes-Benz SUVs provide the opportunity for the launch in a festive atmosphere.
He revealed that some of the new vehicles have gone through facelifts while others have undergone full model changes. Models such as the GLA, GLC Coupe and GLE Coupe are completely new, he said.
“These Mercedes-Benz SUV models, unique in performance oriented designs with enhanced safety and exclusive features, are meant to appeal to different segments of the market who might be young professionals, families and successful individuals. Even the thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies are catered for with our “AMG” range of high performance SUVs. Customers now have a bigger choice as a result of the expanded range of Mercedes-Benz SUVs” he emphasised.
Mr. Kalmoni observed that besides borrowing extensively from motorsport, high tech components and Intelligent drive systems, the all new Mercedes-Benz SUV models are deeply rooted in the Mercedes-Benz uncompromising tradition for Innovation, safety, luxury, convenience and assurance of a live-long value for its customers’ investment in the Mercedes-Benz brand of vehicles.
He re-assured customers of complete after-sales support for their Mercedes-Benz vehicles touting that the company’s staff undergo regular training at workshops organised by Mercedes-Benz both locally and internationally.
“Our workshop in Tema still operates and on June 1st, 2016 an Express Service Facility has been opened in Accra on the Graphic Road” he said.
He announced that and a new workshop and showroom will soon be opened in Kumasi on Prempeh 1 Street to bring our products and services closer to the owners in that region.
Mr. Kalmoni urged SUV enthusiasts to visit the company’s showroom and choose from the expanded range of Mercedes-Benz SUVs.
The event was full of fun and excitement for the family as it was characterised by a fashion shows, kids entertainment programs and a raffle draw sponsored by Turkish Airline with winners taking home two business class tickets to any destination in Europe.

Also present were the Societe Generale Bank, represented by the Deputy Managing Director, Francois Marchal and Allianz Insurance Company, represented by the Bancassurance Manager, Mr. Enock Acquah who provided auto financing and insurance options to the enthusiastic invitees.
