Reports reaching Joy News indicate that six municipal and district chief executives in the Ashanti Region have been relieved of their posts by President John Mahama.
They are: Amansie West MCE, Charles Oti Prempeh; Amansie Central MCE, Robert Fokuo; and Bekwai MCE, Noah Asante Manu.
The rest are: Atwima Mponua, Theresa Adomako; Ejura Sekyeredumasi, Martha Bucknor; and Atwima Kwanwoma, Tony Nyame.
According to Joy News sources, the affected chief executives have been asked to prepare their handing over notes with immediate effect.
It is still sketchy why the six have been given the boot.
