The St. Dominic Hospital at Akwatia has constructed more than 200 units of accommodation for its staff.
The hospital is also building a staff village where a number of flats have already been constructed.
The latest of a block of flats, named Archbishop Palmer Buckle House, after the Archbishop of Accra, was blessed by Joseph Afrifa-Agyekum, Bishop of Koforidua, at the week-end.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Mr Rojo Mettle-Nunoo, described the accommodation project as "exceptional feat".
St. Dominic hospital employs over 600 persons.
The Deputy Minister said it was even more heart warming to learn that the Dominicans had supported some staff to own their own homes.
"You have served humanity and you have been a great help to the people of Ghana", he told the Sisters.
Mr Mettle-Nunoo said the Sisters had made tremendous sacrifices and committed themselves to God who had been their source of strength over the years.
"You left your home country to an unknown land where you had no electricity, water, shelter and all the things you would have had in your home country, Germany".
He told them Ghanaians were learning lessons that with commitment and the sense of purpose, they could achieve anything.
