The Stanbic Bank Ghana has started preparations to open a branch in Bolgatanga by early next year, Mr Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic, said on Tuesday in Bolgatanga.
The main focus of the new branch would be to assist entrepreneurs with loans and credit to start or boost their businesses, he said.
Mr Andani said this when he and the bank's Chairman of Board of Directors, Mr Aseidu Mante, presented a cheque for 100 million cedis, 200 bags of rice and 25 bags of sugar to flood victims of the Upper East Region.
He said the money and items were part of the bank's social responsibility to help the needy.
Mr Alhassan Samari, Upper East Regional Minister, received the items and thanked the bank.
