Shareholders of Standard Charted bank will from September this year have the opportunity to enjoy much awaited bonus shares issue.This will see every shareholder get five additional shares for every share held.Director of Finance of the bank, Sanjay Rugahani disclosed this to Joy Business after the bank’s Annual General Meeting Wednesday.The shareholders will also enjoy three cedis five pessewas as dividend.
Shares of Stanchart are currently valued at about 51 Ghana cedis, the most expensive stock on the local bourse.Bank’s profit before tax went up by 12. 3 percent to 114 million.
