King Faisal have asked Head Coach Stephen Abugri to step aside only six match days into the 2012/2013 Glo Premier League Season.
Reports allege that Coach Abugri showed disrespect to the club’s owner Alhaji Gruzah, warranting the stern action by the club.
Coach Abugri led the Kumasi-based side back to the premier league after an impressive 11-match winning streak in the Division One league, where the spent only a season.
“He has been asked to step aside for his assistant Mallam Yahya to take over in the interim”, said spokesperson of King Faisal Sakyi Akomeah Boateng.
“The coach has been misconducting himself towards the president of the club, he used unsavoury language and we thought it’s unbearable and in that respect we have decided to part ways with him”.
King Faisal is currently 10th on the standings with seven points. Coach Abugri becomes the second coaching casualty of the season in six days in the Glo Premier League this season following the dismissal of C.K. Akunnor as Coach of Hearts of Oak.
