The awards honour excellence in global public relations practice and recognise outstanding campaigns that demonstrate creativity, impact, and contribution to society.
Stratcomm Africa’s flagship initiative, the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement (GGFM), was celebrated for its innovative communication approach promoting environmental sustainability, climate change, green enterprises, and behaviour change.
Stratcomm Africa won one of the two IPRA's highest awards, the Global Contribution Award for PR, with an objective for meeting one of the UN‘s Sustainable Development Goals, and also received awards in the following categories:
- Agriculture and Forestry – Greenovation: Growing a Greener Ghana
- Climate Change and Environmental Education – Greenovation: Growing a Greener Ghana
- Sustainability Communication (Public Sector Collaboration) – Partnerships for Green Growth
This is the second time Stratcomm Africa has won one of the top two IPRA awards.
Commenting on the recognition, Ms Esther A. N. Cobbah, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, expressed deep appreciation to IPRA and the global communication community for recognising the agency’s excellent professional work and its efforts in respect of championing communication for development, particularly about Climate Change.
“These awards are a testament to Stratcomm Africa’s commitment to and ability to employ Communication for transformative purposes and for development.
"The Ghana Garden and Flower Movement embodies our belief that communication can drive environmental stewardship, economic opportunity, and national pride.
"This recognition is for Ghana, Africa, and all who believe in innovative, purpose-driven communication,” Ms Cobbah said.
The awards ceremony brought together communication professionals, agencies, and corporate executives from across the world, making it one of the most significant gatherings in global public relations.

Background to the Golden World Awards for Excellence.
The annual IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA) initiative, established in 1990, recognises excellence in public relations practice worldwide in a variety of categories. Recipients of the award take particular pride in the recognition granted to their entry as meeting international standards of excellence in public relations. An overall IPRA Grand Prix for Excellence is presented each year to the entry judged as representing the highest standards that year. While there are many national and regional PR awards, there is only one truly global scheme: the GWA.
