Fresh charges of murder have been preferred against the suspect, who was remanded in connection with the Zakoli shooting incident in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region.
Delabra Donkor was initially charged with robbery and causing damage to properties when he first appeared in court.
He was subsequently granted bail, but he could not meet the bail conditions.
However, appearing in the Yendi Circuit Court for the second time, Delabra was slapped with new charges of arson and murder.
His plea was not taken, and he has been remanded again into police custody to reappear in court on Thursday, May 19.
In April, eight people were shot dead in Zakoli after gunmen attacked some Fulani communities.
Four others were injured in that raid.
The police later arrested two suspects in connection to the raid.
Currently, a team of investigators from the region and the National Headquarters is investigating the matter.
