The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has congratulated Muftawu Nabila Abdulai of the Multimedia Group Limited for his exceptional achievement at the 28th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.
Muftawu was honoured as the Sports Journalist of the Year, a prestigious recognition of his dedication and contributions to sports journalism in Ghana.

The 28th GJA Awards, held in Accra, celebrated the best of Ghanaian journalism, and Muftawu’s recognition as Sports Journalist of the Year stands as a significant achievement in his career.
Having worked with international outlets like ESPN and FIFA+, alongside his role at JoyNews and other platforms, his influence in sports media continues to grow.
In addition to Muftawu's success, Bill Eshun of Media General also received recognition as the Disability Reporter of the Year for his outstanding work advocating for persons with disabilities through sports reporting.
Kwabena Yeboah added, "Muftawu and Bill’s wins demonstrate our commitment to excellence and inclusive storytelling. Their achievements inspire us to continue promoting sports development and excellence in Ghana."
