Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson has paid a glowing tribute to Nigerian prophetTB Joshua, claiming the controversial pastor prophesied the Black Stars heavy win over Egypt in the first leg tie of the 2014 World Cup play-off on October 15 in Kumasi.
The West Africans hammered the Pharaohs 6-1 in Kumasi in a humiliating defeat which has triggered massive gloom and confusion in the North African country with fans yet to come to terms with the embarrassing thrashing.
Kingson was recalled into the Ghanaian national team exactly a year after he visited the renowned pastor’s church in Nigeria to testify about his wife’s deliverance at the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
The Doxa Katokopias shot-stopper has attributed the Black Stars success to the televangelist, claiming he played an influential role in the BIG win.
“Before the Egypt game he called me often to encourage me and he told me you will qualify those were the words he used, you will qualify,” Kingson told Oman FM
“He called me about three times on the day of the match, even a day before the match that was Monday night he called me and he said everything is ok, everything is alright you guys will do well.
“I will attribute this victory to the God of Prophet TB Joshua. TB Joshua has played a big role in my life, he prophesied to me that my brother you will play again and your people (Ghana) will come for you and you will go to the World Cup.
“These were his words and it has come to pass, I believe we are there even though we haven’t played the 2nd leg, I believed strongly that we are there and we will qualify and what he (Prophet TB Joshua) said has come to pass”
The former Blackpool glovesman was full of praise for the Nigerian for the role he’s played in in life.
“I would like to thank the God of Prophet TB Joshua who has made it possible for me by bringing me back into national team,” he added
“He used his servant Senior Prophet TB Joshua to speak to me, He is a real man of God, he has been playing many roles in my life, encouraging me, sharing the word of God with me, his teachings and everything about him”
“So I would like to thank the God of Prophet TB Joshua, he has done it for me Richard “Olele” Kingson and Ghana”
The controversial preacher-man, who has drawn praise and condemnation in similar measure, has predicted the outcome of many matches globally in the past.
But he has since stopped releasing prophecies relating to the game after he came under a lot of flak for predicting Zambia’s victory over Ghana in a World Cup group D decider – an allegation that he angrily denied.
