Former Liberty Professionals midfielder, Abdul Aziz Tetteh, has joined Greek Premier side Platanias on a three-and-half year contract.
The 22-year old, a nephew of the deceased President of Liberty Professionals, Alhaji Sly Tetteh, inked the deal over the weekend after passing a medical.
Tetteh joins from fellow Greek lower division side, Fokikos FC, where he impressed on a loan stint managing some stellar performances that caught the attention of many top clubs within and outside.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates the former national youth star has been assigned jersey number “52” for his new club, making their maiden appearance at the Greek Hellenic League.
An elated Tetteh told GNA Sports: “ I’m very happy to join Platanias FC. I hope to do my best for a regular spot in the team and help the team’s ambitions.”
The move is the first time the talented midfielder will be playing in an elite league since leaving for Europe in 2008.
Initially joining Italian side Udinese together with Black Stars duo Rabiu Mohamed and Kwadwo Asamoah, Tetteh has had to contend with loan stints at Spanish second-tier sides, Xerez, Granada, CD Leganes and Montaneros.
