New Rwanda coach Sellas Tetteh has described his move as a "big challenge" in life but claims he has the credentials to achieve his targets.
Tetteh officially begins his two-year contract next month and his first test will come in the CHAN qualifiers against Eritrea.
He has been tasked to qualify the East African country for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Tetteh told Joy FM: "I believe it's one of the biggest challenges of my coaching life and I love to go in for challenges like this because I seriously believe that boldness and risk taking doesn't deny a determined person. It is good for me to work very hard and try to do the best out of difficult situation."
Rwanda drew Ivory Coast, Benin and Burundi in Group 8 of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning coach believes the enormity of the task ahead will spur his side on in the qualifiers which begin later this year.
"It's too early to talk about qualification now but we are going to work assidiously as usual. At least 13th or 14th (next month) they have a game in Eritrea so that is where I'm going to start from and then we start moving and see how it goes," he added.
"Qualifying for CHAN is first before you think of the Nations Cup."
