Thousands of worshippers thronged the Royal House Chapel auditorium to pray for divine intervention in the Black Stars’ match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The worshippers asked God to give the Black Stars victory over their Nigerian counterparts.
The General Overseer of the church, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, said the greatest gift God could give to the nation in the New Year was a victory in Sunday’s match.
He wished the Black Stars the best of luck.
Meanwhile, Sammy Darko of Joy News reports that some Nigerians had also converged elsewhere to pray for victory for the Super Eagles.
They expressed optimism that Nigeria will win the match.
Whose prayers will be answered remains to be seen.
