As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive, mobile network operator, Tigo Ghana has climaxed its Christmas party for the less privileged children and female head porters in Accra.
The party, which was also held in other regional capitals including Koforidua, Kumasi, Takoradi and Wa attracted over 3,000 children in total.
At the Efua Sutherland Children's Park to climax the initiative, head porters known locally as ‘Kayayei’ were treated to an afternoon of food and entertainment.
The excited girls danced to gospel and hiplife tunes, participated in dancing competitions and interacted with staff of Tigo Ghana.
“We are so happy that we have been able to continue providing a free and fun filled party for the beautiful less privilege children and female head porters in society,” Tigo said.
The company explained that it will continue to invest in deprived communities through its various CSR activities including education and health to improve the lives of people.
The telecom operator has been holding this annual event on different forms; last year the company celebrated the festive season with children in hospitals across the country.
